The Star Wars Action Figure Archive The Star Wars Action Figure Archive
Because the sculptors at both Kenner/Hasbro and Grenadier used actual publicity photos as well as not-so-public photos from the Lucasfilm archives to create their figures, this is hands down the best painting guide next to the film itself. Included are not only hard to find and never before seen pics of costumes and the actors who played them, a little history of each figure is given.

From Star Wars to Indiana Jones: The Best of the Lucasfilm Archive
For a really close up look at the props used in the Star Wars films as well as the Indiana Jones' films, this is the book! Not a whole lot in the way of costumes and uniforms, but a whole lot in the way of props and models used.
